What Medical Professionals Say About YO
A male contribution to infertility is common and should be assessed early on in a couple’s path to achieve parenthood. To enable a man to assess his motile sperm concentration in the privacy of his home, using the FDA approved YO home sperm test presents a significant opportunity for a couple to become more educated about their fertility potential.

YO Sperm home testing has taken direct to consumer diagnostic testing to the next level. In the past, at home sperm testing could only evaluate sperm counts. YO Sperm evaluates motile sperm concentration which is a much more important way to test for a male problem. Two things are important here: All patients with abnormal results should be evaluated by an M.D. specializing in reproductive medicine, especially to check for an underlying medical issue. And, Patients that fall within a reasonable range should still be checked after 1 year with a formal sperm test as there are other sperm parameters that may be important such as sperm morphology, semen volume etc. Congratulations to the YO Sperm team for creating this reproducible and innovative technology.

An easy to understand, more private method of testing. Many of my patients’ husbands were more interested and willing to undergo testing with this method. I am comforted by the fact that it is backed up by the FDA and the ASRM, with an article in Fertility and Sterility.

From my perspective, a digital sperm test like YO that accurately reports Motile Sperm Concentration is an excellent screening tool for the consumer. When a couple arrives at my clinic with a YO result in hand and they can also show me a video that verifies the results, I can quickly assess if there is a male factor issue that requires investigation. I believe this motivates the couple to seek help earlier in the process and that’s very beneficial to both the doctor and the patient.

YO addresses the unique problems of accuracy and privacy. It is a home kit that provides a precise assessment of Moving Sperm Concentration (MSC). Testing moving sperm is critical in a home test because, with a clear video to back it up, the results allow the man to approach the doctor with evidence of a problem. I see YO as a game-changer in India and globally because of the profound need for a test of this type as a first step in the process of diagnosing and treating male factor infertility in a timely basis and also taking preventive steps.
To address the issue of delayed male testing and to eliminate the current stressful public nature of male sperm analysis, the YO Home Sperm Test kit was developed by Medical Electronic Systems.
